Chloe Ruth married Jordan Haffley in Savannah, Georgia on a sunny April day. For these Kentuckians, it was a celebration of two best friends agreeing to share their lives together. From the outpouring of friends and family who made the trip, it's obvious that these two understand what love is. It was an honor to capture Chloe's and Jordan's wedding day and to help commemorate this moment of their love story, for it to be remembered and retold for decades to come.
When it comes to wedding videography and capturing a couple's big day, the most important thing is to tell the story through the couple's eyes. Being the video producer, meant being the videographer, sound technician, and editor all in one. Here are a few creative details and decisions about this project:
While many people will enjoy this video (particularly their friends and family in attendance that day), but the most important viewers are Chloe and Jordan because this video is about preserving their memory of that day.
With that in mind, I wanted to use their vows as the heartbeat of the video. From a technical stand point I placed a wireless lapel mic on the officiant to pick up the couple's words. The music was used as filler for transitional purposes for the story but had sentimental connection for the couple and their special day.
The story is ultimately about their memory, so I wanted the clips to act as snapshots depicting the day, I alternate between closeup (CU) and medium shots (MS) with a narrow depth of focus to give the video that romantic aesthetic. I used a few wide shots (WS) to establish where they are.
From cutting and splicing, color correcting, sound editing, to graphic animation, we can transform your footage into beautifully edited videos.
